Our signature Firewalker Kava blend is a mix of Temotu Purple Basal Root and a newer cultivar to the market called Miaome. We acquire all of our kava for signature blends from our sister company Art of Kava. All of the COA information can be found on their website. We will provide the kavalactone information for the blend as soon as it comes back from the lab.

Predicted Blend Chemotype: 421365

Actual: TBD

Heady / Euphoric / Delayed Response

Tasting notes:

Preparation was 32 grams to 20oz of water using the Blender Method.

This kava has a strong flavour. Miaome by itself is a bit strong flavored so that makes sense. Decent amount of pepper, but not overly so as to make it piney. It comes off the first sip as very earthy.

The effects were delayed by about 10 minutes. I didn't think I was going to feel anything from this kava, which left me perturbed just a bit. Then I stood up. It was though the wave of euphoria had been dormant until I attempted some kind of movement.

The effect was an increasing euphoric feeling, mostly in the head that increased over time. A very pleasent relaxed feeling. A sense of kindness and calm surrounded me for about 3 hours, Tapering off into a nice relaxed feeling for the rest of the day.

About this Kava:

Temo Purple kava is grown by small family farms in the Temotu Province in the Solomon Islands also known as Santa Cruz. The Temotu province is a group of islands clustered in the south east region of the archipelago and just north of Port Orly Vanuatu.

Miaome is one of our rare cultivars, not commonly found outside of Vanuatu.

This cultivar is grown only on the norh east side of the island of Epi, the same island Kelai comes from. The terrain on the north east side of Epi is dryer than all the other parts, which are great conditions for kava. Kava doesn't tend to love wetness, which is why often times it is grown on the slopes of hills to let the water easily drain off.

We sourced this 100% Noble lateral and basil root mixed kava from the Province of Temotu also known as Santa Cruz and the island of Epi in Vanuatu.

This high quality, single cultivar, noble Kava is selected from the Temo Purple variety of kava plants at least 5 years in age. Temotu Purple kava has been purposefully cultivated to both concentrate the kavain and increasing the desirable effects. It is one of 3 main varieties offered in the Solomon Islands.

Noble Lateral Root Kava powder, is derived from the smaller roots that extend from the main root-stock. These roots are higher in Kavalactones.

The basil root, chip or stump is the root ball base of the kava plant peeled and cut into chips before pounding. This typically has a different chemotype than the lateral roots, is milder in kavalactons and more creamy in texture.

Made as single serving: 32g in 20oz water. Blended for 4 min, strained.

Made by the gallon: 100 to 130g. 1 gallon of room temperature water in a large bowl, bucket or a traditional tanoa bowl. Add water to the vessel. Add kava to a nut bag or cheese cloth and dip the bag into the water. Massage for about 15 to 20 minutes or until you've reached your desired potency. This will yield a much weaker kava for the purpose of sharing multiple cups with friends in longer sessions. Serve in coconut shells, glasses or store in a gallon jug chilled. Shake jug before serving.

Note: Add 20% of the gallon of water or 4oz in your single serving of 20oz as coconut milk for a tastier end result.
